- This time tomorrow, I'll be flying to Lima.Mañana a esta hora estaré volando a Lima. (en marcha en ese momento)
- By Friday, I'll have finished the report.
- Will you be using the meeting room this afternoon?¿Vas a usar la sala de reuniones esta tarde? (pregunta amable por los planes de alguien)
A2La forma: will be + -ing y will have + participio
| Futuro continuo | Futuro perfecto | |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativo | I'll be working. | I'll have finished. |
| Negativo | I won't be working. | I won't have finished. |
| Pregunta | Will you be working? | Will you have finished? |
| Respuesta corta | Yes, I will. · No, I won't. | |
Tres piezas, siempre las tres. will es igual para todos los sujetos, y después de will van be y have tal cual, también con he, she, it: she'll have left. Al hablar, will se pega al sujeto: I'll, she'll, we'll. Los verbos de estado, como know o need, van sin -ing: I'll know the results tomorrow (Unidad 4).
- At ten tomorrow, she'll be presenting the budget.
- Next week, we'll be working from home.
- She'll have left by six.Para las seis ya se habrá ido. (have, también con she)
- They will have signed the contract by Monday.
A3Negativo, preguntas y preguntas amables
Para negar, pon won't (will not) antes de be o have: I won't be working, we won't have finished. Para preguntar, will pasa adelante: Will you be…? Will you have…? La respuesta corta repite will: Yes, I will. No, I won't.
- I won't be using the car tomorrow. You can take it.Mañana no voy a usar el carro. Puedes llevártelo.
- We won't have finished the tests by Friday.
- Will you be joining us for lunch? Yes, I will.¿Nos vas a acompañar a almorzar? Sí.

Con Will you be + -ing preguntas qué tiene planeado la otra persona, sin pedirle nada. Will you come to the meeting? puede sonar a invitación o a petición; Will you be coming to the meeting? solo pregunta por sus planes. Por eso suena más amable.
A4By, by the time y until
Con el futuro perfecto suele aparecer by: "para", "a más tardar". by Friday quiere decir el viernes o antes. Para decir "para cuando" + un verbo, usa by the time + presente simple, igual que después de if y when (Unidad 19): by the time the client calls.
- By the time the client calls, I'll have sent the proposal.
- By the end of the year, we'll have opened two new offices.
- I'll be working in Medellín until Friday.

A6Cómo suenan I'll be, I'll have y won't be
Al hablar, will se pega al sujeto: I'll be /aɪl bi/, con la l bien marcada (Unidad 12). En el futuro perfecto, have pierde la h y suena débil: I'll have suena /aɪləv/, como una sola palabra. En negativo, won't be /woʊnt bi/: won't suena fuerte, con "ou", y la t casi no se oye antes de be.
- I'll be working late. · I'll have finished by nine. · I won't be working tomorrow.Estaré trabajando hasta tarde. · Habré terminado para las nueve. · Mañana no voy a trabajar. Escucha 'll, have débil y won't.

Por escrito va siempre have, aunque suene /əv/. En la respuesta corta, will suena completo: Yes, I will /wɪl/. Y been suena corto: I'll have been here for ten years /aɪləv bɪn/.
