Usa there is y there are para decir que algo existe o está en un lugar: lo que en español dices con "hay".

Al hablar casi siempre se dice there's. Lo que no se cuenta (coffee, time, money, milk) va en singular: There's some coffee. Lo que se cuenta y es más de uno, en plural: There are three calls.

Dos formas que significan lo mismo: There isn't any milk = There's no milk. En plural, There aren't any seats. Con no no va any.

Se invierte el orden: There is a… → Is there a…? En la pregunta y en el negativo se usa any: Are there any questions? La respuesta corta repite there: Yes, there is. No, there aren't.
